Day 21 - Queen Charlotte Lake

We departed our anchorage at 530am to try and get a head start on our Cape Caution crossing before the winds picked up and to get as much of the Ebb as we could.  Again we have had the luck of the Irish as Queen Charlotte straight was as calm as it could be for pretty much the entire run. I decided to head In close to the coast in hopes of seeing some wildlife and we were rewarded with multiple otter sightings and some close up eagle viewing on a herring ball.

It’s good to be back in the Broughton’s and we’re docked at Sullivan Bay Marina for the night.  This floating community is owned by a group of Americans who use it as their summer holiday home and there is a large float home community as well as a central eating area, grocery store and fuel dock.

We saw the fish powerwashing boat in action on the way in so we’ve come full circle.

The weather looks to be changing so we may get some good weather for the rest of the run home, although I think we are getting quite used to the rain by now.  We’re almost out of groceries and there was limited supply in the grocery here due to no visitors so we caught a rock cod and set two crab traps so we’ll see if we catch enough for a seafood boil…

Long run today so dinnertime…Till tommorrow.
